COVID-19 UPDATES

May 7, 2020

Dear Cinco Family,

We are excited to announce that Cinco will resume meeting corporately for worship on May 31!!!!!

After 10 Sundays, we are looking forward to seeing everybody in person.

Cinco is honoring and following the Safe. Smart. Step-by-Step. Plan for Florida’s Recovery report prepared by the Re-Open Florida Task Force. You can read the document at www.flgov.com

Our Phase 1 Plan is as follows:

8:30 a.m. Traditional Worship Service (Note the time change)

10:30 a.m. Contemporary Worship Service

Details:

  • We will observe 25% capacity and 6 ft. spacing measures. Families may sit together.
  • Childcare will not be available during Phase 1.
  • Bible study groups will continue to meet online.
  • Though not mandatory, masks are encouraged and will be available at the doors. Do not be hesitant to wear a mask!  Also, you may bring your own mask.
  • The campus will be cleaned between worship services.
  • Every precaution will be taken to assure your comfort and safety as we begin to meet again.
  • If you do not feel comfortable attending worship on campus just yet, please continue to worship with us online.

Our church staff is working hard to make this transition the best experience possible.  We will be updating our measures as more information becomes available and as safety allows.  As everyone knows, this is a fluid situation, so, periodic adjustments will need to be made.  Be flexible!

See you on May 31st!

Cinco Family,

The staff and other leadership of Cinco Church and Cinco Christian School are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.  As pastor, I am receiving frequent, official updates from the Okaloosa County Health Department.  Our plans are to follow their recommendations regarding holding public worship services and other group activities and all other advice they offer.  We will hold regularly scheduled worship services until advised otherwise.  Please monitor and follow the instructions from the scientific and medical professionals in order to keep yourself as safe and healthy as possible.  As per the CDC, high risk individuals are advised to avoid crowds as much as possible.  “High risk includes older adults, persons with serious chronic medical conditions like: heart disease, diabetes, lung disease.”

In addition, here are some other measures we are taking:

  1. Regularly disinfecting surface areas (even more than daily) – handrails, doorknobs, other surface areas.
  2. Asking ushers/greeters/attendees to refrain from handshaking until the virus subsides.  If you are sick, please recover at home as this allows us to continue with worship and ministry.
  3. Know we are closely monitoring the situation in order to make the best decisions possible.

Let’s be people of prayer and faith who believe in God’s protection over us, our friends, our neighbors, our nation, and our world.  Contact the Church Office (850) 243-7656 if you or someone you know needs prayer.  We will update you as changes occur and as the need warrants.
